Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
A lot o my problem is hormonal fluctuations as I lurch into menopause. You might keep an eye on your menstrual cycle in relation to your insomnia and see if there is a correlation.
One of the reasons we have such a time getting quality sleep is because our brains don't produce enough serotonin. Besides sleep problems, low serotonin results in depression and anxiety disorders, OCD, ADD and even sleep apnea. I take the amino acid 5-htp to put serotonin in my brain. After listening to Dr. Murphree's seminar linked below, I doubled my intake of 5-htp and am doing better overall. My pain level is way down as well which stands to reason when you understand that serotonin is what keeps the pain neurotransmitter Substance P in check.
Below is a link to a seminar on fibro put on for doctors by Dr. Rodger Murphree, a chiropractor who specializes in treating fibro using orthomolecular medicine. He gets into sleep in great detail starting in part 3 which should come up on the sidebar:

You might also try adding melatonin to help you sleep.
Vitacost.com has a housebrand pharmaceutical grade supplement called NSI that is very reasonably priced. We've done very well on them. They sell most major brands at a substanial discount.
If you dont get the place clean, who cares, they are coming to see you not your house.
