I Just DON"T Wear One, If I am gonna be hangin out with someone, I put on a More Concealing shirt...I am Not heavily endowed, so can get away with it for the most part...they hurt my Ribs...and my ribs will hurt for days if I wear one...so it Just is not worth it to Me !!

I have the same problem in the end i started buying sports bras..i dont always where one..but at least a sports bra..is not as uncomfortable its more like a crop top t shirt than a bra..and at least people cant see you are not wearing a real bra..sports bras are more like liycra material so dont scratch or hurt as much..dont know if it will work for you but may be worth a shot..

ya, i have tried not wearing one but it just doesn't feel right- especially when your around "professionals". and what happens when you get cold, do they just stick out there? you know... I will definitely try a sports bra. I know that when i played sports i can remember they where a bit intruding but it's worth a shot.

I quit wearing them about 3 1/2 yrs ago.
I just wear layers tops now, a colored tank top under the top that I want people to see on the outside. That way I am not as self consience of the "high beams" being on. LOL

I got really tired of trying on bras that felt mostly "okay" when trying them on. I'd buy it and only to find out after wearing it for an hour or less that it pinched, itched, hurt in someway.

I have worn sports bras, they are ok around the house for me. But I needed something that would fit without hurting me.

I finally went to Victoria Secret. They measured me and found me a bra that actually felt good to wear. It was spendy for me but worth it. It is the "memory foam" bra, it was $40.00 but I figured for once that I was worth it!

Other than that, I don't know. Everything else hurt. My ribs poke out and are very tender even to touch.

Just remembered! I do wear a tank top under my bra so those itchy, pinchy spots on the bra don't touch my skin, it does help.

I wouldn't wear one, if I could get away with it, but I'm a J cup, and that's just obscene. I say if you can do it without poking out someone's eye when you walk by them, then go for it! You might as well be comfortable!!!

As to quote a FMily member, I have a pair of XXLong "Coopers Droop". LOL!! I actually haven't found an alternative to a supportive bra to wear in public so I go 'all natural at home or like Dakota said a more concealing(BIG) shirt if I am to run in at out of the pharmacy or something.

I do have discomfort EVERYDAY with having to wear one because of work. I have been wanting to buy a supportive/comfortable(is there such a thing), reasonably priced bra for my size. Still haven't found one. What I hate the most about finding one is all the trying on you have to go through. I am in SO much pain after trying on TOO many bras. I am too big for sport bras, but if you can opt for one instead of old nasty underwire w/ scratchy straps kinda bra I'd say go for it.

I absolutely hate bra shopping as well.
Never been much of a bra fan, it's not just the sore points they can press into but I just hate the restriction.

When I am at home I go without most of the time.
In the winter I hardly wore one, whether going out or not because I was covered up with winter clothing.
But of course t-shirt weather is almost here and I am too big to go without a bra. So gotta hoist those babies up, but as soon as I'm home, I let them go free.

I simply don't except when I have to make a public appearance and even then I try to do as others have said - wear strategic clothing or layers.

I found one or two at layne bryant that aren't too bad. I think I may wear it lower then it's supposed to be worn...but it works.

Are we talking the sports bras that you have to put over your head and put your arms through like a tank top? I get myself so wrapped up in those blasted things and they bunch up at my neck in the back and then I have to try to figure out how to get it unraveled with a bad shoulder. haha They are pure hell for me. Regular bras I need for going out but at home - forget about it.

I spend half my day without one and the other half with one on. I get really achy after a while if I don't wear one with the 'droop'.
The most comfortable one for me is the crop top type, like t-shirt material, but then for going out of the house I need the 'heavy duty' ones. Damn inconvenient things. Hope you find something that is comfortable for you.

sport bras usually less hurty no buckles,snaps,etc.... walmart has some cotton with no metal or plastic they are easier to tolerate

I go through this same thing.. I am very blessed up top.. I NEVER wear one at home.. EVER.. don't ever go that much, but I do wear one when I go to town.. but as soon as I get home, it comes right off!! UGH!!

i have not worn a bra since my back surgery over 5 years ago,,,,when i go out in the summer ,,of course,,,i have to wear one, but i take it off as soon as i get back,,,,,i cannot stand wearing one anymore,,,alot of times even when i go to the doctor,,,i just wear 2 t-shirts,,,thin jacket or sweater over it,,,,,,,i have tried many bras,,,but they all drive my nuts!!!!!
