Anyway, what I wrote was that I the weather got me thinking about how many different triggers I tend to have: weather changes, menstruation, stress, sleep disturbances and poor diet (esp too much sugar). I was wondering what common triggers everyone else has?

Actually, my real flares generally come AFTER a really stressful situation ends. I do fine until it's over - I guess the adrenaline or cortisol or whatever from the stress itself keeps it at bay. Once the stress is over though... I want to die for about a week or more.
I've also discovered repetitive motion (like kayaking) and heavy vibration (like a lawn mower or Harley Davidson) are very bad ideas.
I agree with the repetitive motions being a bad idea. I have learned that certain household chores like unloading the dishwasher and mopping the floors can trigger a flare.
The weather also affects me....we have AWFUL humidity here lots of the year, and it really affects me terribly.
Lack of sleep is huge.
I had a big one today.....a trip to the dentist!! My muscles just tense when they've got my head all tilted back, and my jaw open so long!
I'm finding diet is becoming more and more important to controlling symptoms....I need to work on that more!
HUGS from down south :)
Alcohol, anything more than half a beer & even that may not be wise. Getting really chilled or overheated.
I'm sure my list is way longer than that, both those are the ones that floated to the surface first.
thx
Not sure if anyone else gets this, but my skin gets SO tender, if my stomach itches and I don't think about it and scratch it kind of hard it's sore after. I am a newborn photographer so I do a lot of bending down and kneeling. I have spaced sessions out weeks apart because I know I will be down for a few days after a session or wedding.
I was diagnosed fibro and maybe it is but it came from lyme disease, as I had the rashes.
Triggers are , just about everything, don't you think?
I go in phases. I have been laid up since Sunday, last evening I got up so to speak and worked on the stuff I didn't do when I was sick. Hubby helps a lot but there is still a lot to do after a sick period or maybe i should call it a flare?
Amazing thing isn't it? I am grateful when I can sleep the pain away, and when I am not too sick to my stomach. Pain is not so great though. Lisa
However, in speaking w/ the allergist, we figured out that there might be a serious trigger inside my house. I just bought this house 2 years ago, but the wall-to-wall carpet in the living room is 25 years old. It's white and stained [they had a small dog], and they never had it steam cleaned before they sold, so all the edges are grey. The doc's eyebrows shot up & he said that could be a serious problem. Some people may be allergic to certain molds, but there are other molds that are toxic to everyone, & that kind could be growing in the carpet, the underpad, even the plywood flooring. Solution -- rip it all up & replace it w/ flooring! $$Ouch!$$
