Tough day for me so I don't have the brain power to write much

Today's the anniversary of my parents finding out I had suicidal thoughts and my mom losing her shit and accusing me of faking it for attention, then forbidding me from speaking to the 2 people I had told. I don't have a formal diagnosis but I definitely have PTSD from it. I've now been living half of my life, 17 years, with this. And my mom still hasn't let it go.

Miki, Leo.... I'm really sorry your moms treated you that way; they sound like narcissists. Parents can be cruel and they don't realize how damaging or abusive it is to their children. When I was 12 my dad called me a wh#re for having the audacity to include boys in my study groups when working on after school projects. He actually chased them out of the house and threw shoes at them. Then told me if he catches me with another boy, he will strip me naked and throw me out on the streets "where wh#res belong."
I pray you both can forgive what was done to you, not because they deserve it, but because YOU deserve it. When someone hurts you, they hold power over you, which is the goal of narcissists and why they purposely inflict pain. You deserve to be freed from their hurt and live a happy life. Hugs
Today in history on June 16 1884 the first roller coaster was built in Coney Island. It only costed a nickel to ride. Wow, those days are long gone!
In other news, the plumbers canceled coming out yesterday to swap out our water heater because the master plumber got sick. They rescheduled for Monday, so I guess we will be out of water Monday and Tuesday. I overdid it yesterday and my feet were killing me last night, especially my R foot. It was hard to sleep with the throbbing pain. Today I was supposed to go out and buy a mattress topper for next weeks trip, but my feet are so sore it's best I stay off them. My husband is so wonderful and understanding he brought me breakfast in bed. I have the best guy on the planet.

The deck is now sanded and ready for stain. My partner picked up the sander this morning and powered through it so he could make the 4 hour minimum which was a lot less money. He probably won't stain it for a couple of days. The weather will be good for the next four days. He was some other things to do. Rolling the stain on usually goes pretty quickly.
Leo - I am so glad that you went to Mass General and that you have an answer. So grateful.. I hope that you have had a minute to see some of Boston.
Miki - I am sorry that this is such a tough day for you. My Mom wasn't great to us as kids and frequently made things a lot more difficult. I developed depression from her "mothering" and started therapy at age 11. She made fun of needing a therapist. So, yeah, I get it. Hug! Haco is gorgeous!!
Blue - I sure wish that the plumber had turned up as scheduled. Rest up today. I hope that power grid holds. I've read that your part of the country is in the triple digits. I'm glad that Jack is so good to you. You deserve it!

Miki: I'm so sorry your mom didn't hear you and give you the understanding and comfort you needed. If she was a narcissistic mom like mine she doesn't have capacity as it's all about her. Regardless, it's just a horrible experience as a teenager, I'm so sorry you didn't have someone emotionally available to you. I hope your day got better
