I found out very quickly with FM that pacing and paying attention to my body messages was not a option or choice but necessary to try to cope with it.
My therapist keeps the excercise program simple. Do range of motion type movements gentle stretching. Limited to if feel pain increasing stop. My one doc. when I told him I was starting PT said quickly tell them to take it slow and that I said so or will be do more harm then good. (he has FM also)
Have a great day and week.. gentle hugs
I practice modified yoga and tai chi with meditation. The poses help with balance and movement efficiency and the meditation makes me more self aware and able to judge my limits.
I tried swimming and water exercise and that works for me...I just wish it would help me lose weight too.
