ER Visit

Spent part of the day in the ER on Dr's orders. Thought I had a DVT, which can be caused by the Provera I am on. It's not stopping the purge, but has slowed it from hemorrhaging to lite flow. But the meds they give for DVT are heavy duty blood thinners. ER doc says, " I don't know what we're going to do, can't give you those." 


Turns out I have clots in the small veins, not the big ones. But now they don't know what to do about giving me meds.  So GYN is calling for a Hematology consult amongst the docs to figure out how to help me. And I am to call the practice if the purge starts hemorrhaging again. 


PD has been summoned to the facility again to deal with more MIL stuff. So Bridezilla is going to hang out with me so I am not alone while he's gone. Hopefully the weekend is uneventful.

Hi PuppyMom - I am sorry that you ended up in ER! Your situation sounds very complicated. I wish that they would do more to he!p you immediately. Sorry to hear that there are problems at the home/with MIL. I hope Bridezilla doesn't make you crazy.

I can not take any birth control or hormone meds except the depo/provera shot which does not have the high blood clot risk (i used to have myleoprolifertive neoplasms a very rare cancer in the blood that normally MEN over 65 get, i was in my late 20s, does not make sense, they put me on baby asprin for the time being because it was not severe so i would have only had to do chemo if i was going to be having surgery, its a very high white count and platelet count, my white count got as high as over 100,000. I even got a second opinon from a second oncologist/hematologist and it disappeared after about 2 to 3 years and has not come back but my Dr said we keep teh baby aspirin just in case its helping, i honestly think all the people praying for me reallyhelped) I will definatly keep you in my prayers and thoughts and I do understand female issues. I have PCOS and endrometroysis and am on depo until i go in what mom calls mental pause because my cancer risk is extremely high with having both those plus family history and having had 5 miscarraiges. Plus it keeps the endrometroysis pain bearable. I have come very close to needing blood transfusions when i would be on my period. Severeal times even when i first started at age 11. Its so rough adn scary. I hope and pray the Drs come up with a good solution for you! I also know the fear of being worried about blood clots, i never ended up with one thankfully but i had to be tested often due to how high my platlets were staying.
