Does everyone have pain everywhere

I mean all the time. I'am only in my first year and my pain is mainly in my neck and shoulders. It can be completely debilitating sometimes, but so far it only seems to last for about 5 to 7 days and then goes away for a couple weeks.
I only have pain in all the pressure points when the doc presses on them and it hurts terribly. I actually pushed her away when she squeezed the leg area.
I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean. Everyone on her seems to have pain everywhere all the time. Mine feels more like flare ups.

Is this normal?

I have pain all over, but it seems to be worse in my hips, hands and knees. Some days it's unbearable, but it helps to keep moving. Believe it or not, exercise does help, even if it hurts to do it.

I have been going to the Dr for 2+ years trying to get help for my neck pain/headaches and he has decided that I have FM. I did notice in the beginning that it came in cycles - pain for about a week, then 2-3 weeks of feeling pretty normal. But the time between cycles has shortened to days, and the pain has increased to include my shoulders and on occasion my lower back and legs. But it is mainly in my head/neck/shoulders.

Oh yes! It hurts. Every minute of every day. Everywhere. And Fibro coupled with Arthritis...joint and muscle pain together. I could write a book about the pain. Sometimes it really messes with your mind. Thinking about living with this pain til you die. Can't even go for a walk anymore. I change my sheets and have to take a pill. And despite what dr.s say, it does get progressively worse. You are lucky if you have weeks free from pain.

How are you doing now?

My doc said I have fibro....I am still not convinced, started with severe shoulder pain, masses of stomach troubles, then into my hips and now it's my right shoulder, neck and down the spine... Gosh it's deep pain. Often my thumb and toe feel odd.. This has all been over 2.5 years. Of lately the neck and upper spine has been worse, very concussed. Anyone any updates....Karen

I've dealt with pain for over 25 years now on a daily basis & in the beginning it would be one place & then another, but for the last 5 to 6 years it has been all over - 24/7 to boot.

It does ebb & flow, however; just never know where it will attack next & had bad it will be. You just learn to live with it - maybe not well, but as least I am alive even if I am 90% homebound & live alone.

i just wanted to share.my fibro started in my left elbow,and soon afterwards it hit my buttocks.at this time i can be in pain from my head to the end of my toes.it feels as those my toenails hurt also.as i was writing this.i remembered that when i found out i had fibro in the very beginning,i was cooking a meal,i had a shelf over the stove.i was stirring in my pot and all of a sudden a quarter fell off the shelf and hit my big toe.i immediately went to screaming,crying,jumping all over my kitchen.you know this just had to happen when my family and neighbors was home and up.i hadnt thought of that in years.maddie.
