... AND summer?
( i usually only hear about one end of the spectrum)
both make me uncomfortable (quite so) w summer a little better but still pretty bad.
what is your take?
is this "temperature sensitivity" because we are not very good at regulating body temperature?
or because we already have some degree of pain and to add on the discomfort of uncomfortable temperature it just becomes too much/even worse?
or both?
thanks

404 not foundCSRF token invalid404 not foundI'll be in another room finding my sanity. Just as an FYI, it was a good check-in aout linguistic weirdness, IMO.PUMA POWER

We do, however, get lots of humidity and HOT temps in the summer, which don't help my fibro at all. I'd be hard-pressed to say which is worse.
Here in NC in the past week, we has a small coating of snow Sunday afternoon - a big T'storm late Monday night. Highs in the mid 70's on Wednesday - nearly 80 & windy Thursday - major rain with tornado watches on Friday with a 25 degree drop in temps & major wind in the evening. Today it was cool & very windy. Low tonight of about 25 with only a high of 50 Sunday.
No wonder I have really been hurting this week. All in all when it is just above freezing with rain & wind is by far the worst for me.
Oh, by the way my normal body temp is 97.4, so like maddiesgr, 98.6 is a fever for me.

But the real problem is the humidity, which is usually 80% and over. It sets my symptoms off like crazy. So I spend much of May through September indoors in the A/C :(
BUT our winters are very mild....so I just add a couple extra thin layers, and I'm fine....my symptoms are much easier to handle.
We all need that magic place of 75 degrees, no humidity, all the time!!

Spring and summer with their heat and high humidity make me so
sick I often end up in E.R with heat exhaustion. I truly am dreading the
end of winter!
In the summer, I have sleeveless turtlenecks to wear, and there have been times when my arms were cold in the summer that I wore long-sleeved turtle neck shirts to the beach with shorts and flip-flops.
In the winter, I often am warm in the legs and feet, and freezing in the neck area, so I wear a turtle neck under my nightgown.
Of course, everyone in the house laughs because they're comfortable and I'm having to wear layers, however, I can move, so I go with it!

It's just an awful illness. Now I get to sleep at night, been taking Xyrem for many years. This is very helpful for FMS. Good, deep, sleep diminishes pain and stiffness. I do yoga and Pilates, try to get out to walk. It is a hard way to live. So sorry you have it, too.d.
