Hi yes mine do all the time I'm supposed to wear splints but I don't half the time it's in my fingers wrists and up both arms and beginning to burn now with the pain I have started using neurofen gel to apply to those areas it helps but it's not a miracle. My doctor prescribes me it but you can buy it over the counter. Hope that helps. Love Sarah

using my hands and arms which includes my elbows aare the hardest things to do. My pain goes into my neck and into the back of my nexk and even in my trapazeous muscles in my shoulders. Using these are I gave do i have to stop all the time. to take a break weither it is to stir the oastmeal. pot, do the dishes, vaccum. I need to tag a small amount of time to put asidt rest through out each day. Only do as much as you can psychially. If you over due, most likely your hand will feel siff and clawed up. Make stop typing, cleanin etch. if still hurts try so arthritis creame or tylenol creme rubbed in your hands.

I developed tendonitis in the thumbs ( but it was in the wrists too). It was aggravated by my job - i was doing datat entry. I was on naprosyn and it did a number on my stomach. I left the job and int ime it healed

Mine is between the thumb and forefinger and goes to the palm of my left hand, can last for days then go away but start again,ugh, I use a gel but can't think of the name but it does help somewhat.

Ugh! Sometimes my hands just won't work! Can't even use utensils, nevermind picking up my pills. I drop everything, my left hand is worse, and sometimes the pain wakes me up in the middle of the night. My meds help. And opening and closing them slowly, most of the pain is in my fingers. Keeping them warm helps, looking like a freak with fingerless gloves on in the spring... I guess that helps too. ;0)

I have never had this problem until the last day of the conference I attended in April. On the way home my hands started aching so bad I was constantly wringing/rubbing them all the way home on w four hour drive.

They felt like they should be swelling but they didn't look different, just hurt like holy hell.

It scared me because both of the people I knew with lupus started that way...with hand pain, but they also had swelling.

It went away in about 24 hours but has happened randomly on and off since then.

I hope you find some relief. It's hard to do much of anything when your hands hurt or don't work right.

Oh yes! I was certain that I had RA it has been so bad. Rheumy said no, so I guess I buy it. It really can hurt so bad. Hope you find something that helps.

HELLO, YES MY HANDS HURT FROM TIME TO TIME. MOSTLY WHEN THEY'RE COLD. LUCKILY OUR WINTER WASN'T TOO BAD BUT WHENEVER I HAD TO CLEAN OFF OUR VAN AND MY HANDS GOT COLD THEY WOULD HURT TERRIBLY. SOMETIMES MY FEET WOULD GET COLD TOO. HUGS, CHRIS

My hands hurt all the time, my right thumb joint locks up on me, . I don't have health insurance right now so the only doctor I can afford is a quack. My last appointment I told him about my hands and he said don't use them too much and maybe the pain will go away. well duh that's not the right treatment because they wake me up hurting, he said I don't have an answer for that.

My hand pain wakes me up too! I just slowly open and close them, sometimes lightly rubbing in lotion helps.

This is one of my worst symptoms. All my joints hurt but my hands hurt a lot and it does make it hard to anything. My hands look puffy all the time but the last x-rays didn't show damage. Sometimes I can't open my own medicine bottles or food packaging. Makes me so angry! I also like to paint and draw and it is becoming nearly impossible. I was taking painting lessons and finally quit going this past winter. I was so bad during the winter because the cold makes it even worse. I live in Alaska and even though I have a heated garage the moment I get out of my car to go inside it hits me. I also have really bad shoulder and pain and that is usually what does me in.

I forgot to mention that I take Ibuprofen 800mg for my joint pain and that helps some. I take Cymbalta and Tramadol for the fibro and they do nothing for the joint pain.

I have hand pain, ok well pain in my hands, arms elbow, etc. I use heat and ice, also Tiger Balm when I can stand the smell.

I get this too. My hands, my palms mostly, will hurt like really sore muscles. It helps to rub them.

Yes, my hands hurt too and mostly I have noticed the pain is more significant in the winter months. Still happens in the summer but with our strange weather changes I never know what to expect. You aren't alone though with the hand pain.
