I sadly have no friends I see in real life either. My family also is in another country. I am older than you, married with 16 yr old daughter, but other than them I see nobody, so I hear where you're coming from. Just know this syndrome takes so much away from us and you're not alone in feeling the way you are. Feel free to write me if I'm not on, we can correspond that way. While I realize I am old enough to be your mother, I promise not to treat you like one lol
Hope you have a less pain day (hugs) Musta
I too am alot older and my friends are few, as for yourself I think it happens to almost everyone whether they are sick or not. In school, one is surrounded by friends or people your own age and then we graduate. Everyone moves on and so does life.
Of course they are fortunate and work but still their friends are few which are the dear ones.
Have you thought about volunteering, maybe even going to the hosp and reading a book to a child in the hosp or sitting with an elderly person and talking.
Sometimes know matter the pain you have to get out just to feel a little better.
Well sadly I have to say I am also housebound bound and my joint pain and inflamation keep from barely being able to walk around house.
I have found my tv and books have been my new best friend lol
I do happen to live with family who are also supportive and that helps but it can be lonely. I haven't seen my best friend in over 2 years and we rarley get to talk on phone.
I have learned acceptence is a key part and focusing on the things we can do everyday no matter how small helps.
DS has been a lifesaver on here for me.
So please no you are not alone you have many people on here who care and are in the same boat.
Wishing you hope faith love and strength today
I live alone and my family is 1500 miles away. I have a few friends in the community I live in, but the isolation of this is probably the worst part. Well, at least it is close to the top of the list. I have found that this site is very helpful!! The people on here are compassionate and understanding. Even though you can't see us in person, we are here for you.
You sould post this on General Discussion - more people read that and answer.
Good luck and know that you are not alone!
