Well stated. I've been dealing with it since 1982 but the last 6 or 7 have been miserable. Hope you have some good days ahead for you.

My book club is coming to my house on the 25th and I started cleaning weeks in advance because I can only do a bit at a time. If it wasn't for hubby's help I"m not sure what conditions we'd live in.
There are many worse things than fibromyalgia. It may be hard to accept but we have to deal with the challenges and limitations in such a way that we retain some normalcy in our lives. You owe that to yourself and those around you.
I am glad you know what works for you, it took me a couple years to become as pain- free as possible, but I got there. I have had setbacks and flares, but this is the nature of these syndromes. Determined not to allow it to take over my life, I got up every day and went to work for the next thirteen years. Once I had my time in, I retired early.
My routines have changed over the years as far as what works and what doesn't. I am always open to suggestion as long as it isn't harmful. I am intelligent enough to not buy into any quick cures or waste money on them.
So, who do you think is judging you and why would you care? All that I am saying is make it your goal to be the best you can be, function as highly as possible and find some joy in your life. We all have bad days and maybe if we are feeling really bad, we might not get dressed but sometimes it helps us to feel better if we get up, get dressed, comb our hair and put on a little makeup. Do it for you! You're not alone in your frustration and I certainly have my times with it bit we have to be determined not to allow it to take over our lives.
Having a PJ week here, so i hear ya.
It may be that we expect more from ourselves and have to accept a less than perfect world. We try to please others more than ourselves and worry what they might think. I urge people not to pop in because if they do and I am not dressed, if it is late or if I am feeling ill, I will not answer the door. Period. So if calling first is too much to ask, take your chances.
I have just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia last month by a rheumatologist. But before I was diagnosed, I had troubles with pain, fatigue and cognitive problems which still lingers until now. Even doctors get skeptic about my symptoms, they said it's too many and others say I just got it from the internet. When buying prescription meds from the pharmacy, I get embarrassed when "fibro fog" strikes because they would end up laughing at me being absentminded/stupid.
I am a software developer and "fibro fog" makes it to think and analyze everything. My pain increases in the afternoon and I got feverish or feeling like I have a flu. Massage therapists stops the session because they can feel lumps in my muscles which they cannot remove.
Now, I deal with it daily and plan my day ahead. I try to write what I am doing and why am I doing it so I won't forget. I rest to avoid that deep, un-refreshing sleep. I slowly put my clothes in the bed in 1 place to keep me from going around when getting dressed. I do things one step at a time knowing that someday, I will go up to heaven and get a new body.
Be strong.. If people get skeptic, try not to mind them.
