Had my Endo appt today with the biggest horse's a!@ doctor I've ever known.
This time I was prepared. I wasn't going to let him bull-doze me for the hundreth time. I had 4 pages of questions and continuing symtoms, including a chart,....all of this my hubby researched for two days and helped me put together. All for nothing!!!
So, the dr. walks into the exam room, and he puts his bulldozer in gear, and there I am flattened yet again.
......But dr. why do I still have all the full blown symptoms of hypothyroid if I'm on meds?....FLATTENED.....But dr. why am I still so exhausted it's painfull?.....BULLDOZED.....So now I'm trying to not let him see my tears drip down my face.......But dr. why have I gained 17 lbs in three months, if I'm not eating much? FLATTENED AGAIN!
So he sends me on my way with a lab request to check my levels. He tells me I have to go to a new blood lab. OK, where is it???....He tells me that is not his JOB...I should go home and look up Lab Corp locations on the computer. So I did.
As it turns out, the lab is 2, yes "two blocks" away from his office. Can you friggin believe him?... Since it was a blizzard today, it took me too long to get home to find this out on the computer and get back up to his area again before the lab closed.
I'm just disgusted. With him and myself. He's a crappy doctor, and always has been. My Hemo admitted to me that he also has patients that have the same problems with this Endo. I'm upset with myself for allowing him to bulldoze me again and again. I have good insurance, but the other endo's I've tried in NJ stink, so I've stuck it out for way too long with this quack......TIME FOR HIM TO BE FIRED!

For now I'm stuck with him, 'cause he ordered the blood work. I have to wait 'till my next appt. due. I've been searching NJ for 20 years for a good Endocrinologist. Time to start searching again.
I just thought this time would be different, 'cause now I had my hubby's back-up notes.....He is just the rudest man.....if he were my man...I would have smacked in upside the head with a frying pan. LOL

If your one of those people that gets easily bulldozed by doctors. Maybe bring husband with you or a friend who is more assertive.
Some times I know just sitting in the waiting room waiting to see the doctor tries me out so I just want to get in and out and forget about asking questions sometimes.

Try googling your drs name and any future drs you are considering, Check them out if you can.
I think we all have meet with crappy drs I have also with an orthopedic.
I would feel inclined to make an official complaint about him hun.
I recently changed my GP and on the first visit to him my notes hadn't arrived,well he seemed to think that I was a fat,lazy woman who never did anything except sit on my ass and eat crap!!!Well I let him have his say and then told him that I would make my next appointment when my notes had arrived and he had chance to look them over!!!!!

I am saying this cause once I had a good doctor who would take time to listen and such then he got married and doubled his practice to bring in more money to wife. But someone suggested that maybe I really needed to find his slow times to get back in touch with him and say that I liked it when he at least took a moment to ask about family and such things then went into Drs mode. However this suggestion came after I got mad and fired him.
