anyone know how i can find a disability lawyer? I have both Ulcerative Colitis and fibromyalgia. I definitely can not work but both times I have applied for disability it hasn't gone very well. if anyone could help me out i would highly appreciate it.
Please pm me with your questions. I still work for SSA and can help you through the system without an attorney who will take your $6k for just ordering medical records. They don't help you until you have been denied on your initial claim.
I recommend anyone intelligent enough to read the disability blue book online which explains what SSA looks for in deciding whether you're disabled. it helps because you know what you need to make sure you talk to your doctor about.
If you hire an attorney, you can get a list of approved representatives from SSA directly. Just call them at 800-772-1213 and ask for a list of representatives. Some attorneys have cheated their clients and have been banned from handling SSA cases. SO if you want an attorney that's safe, get the list from SSA.
