It is really stretching it to state categorically that we are all better off without gluten, in the face of all evidence of the virtues of whole grains in our diet. It is just not helpful to make such sweeping generalizations that can not be supported by good clinical research.
As you may have gathered from your response here, you only provoke people to be upset and angry. And that's not good for any of us. And that I believe I CAN state categorically!
Be more gentle to folks that are already suffering, okay?
but i dont think we can 'attack' the poster 'OriginalK. she may have had fibro caused by poor diet.. a candida overload and hence the diet worked for her.
for some of us fibro comes out of the blue with no reason..found, some of us have it as a secondary thing caused by something else... fibro being a symptom of a bigger picture (like myself), and some have fibro from lack of good diet, or what ever it may be. no one is the same... some may be similar.
my normal diet actually is 'whole' and very natural as it is and i am FIBRO-FIED (but then again, my fibro is a trigger of another condition).
i did go on a very strict diet when this all started, no gluten, additived, wheat, tomatoes, oranges, dairy.
didnt do a thing for my illness.
I was actually scared to read through that old one because I was afraid I'd find a post from my DS friend who died suddenly in November 2008.
