Glad you found something that works for you!
dietary changes will help me for a few days but then symptoms return right back to the way things were.
the dietary thing is a case to case thing in my opinion. so it really depends on the person.
I am happy you have found something to end ur pain...but most of us have tried several diets that Claimed Cure...nothing..having a Food allergy can cause issues...i don't happen to have any...i was just tested for Gluten intolerance, I don't have that..
there is no cure...to say a Cure means you do Treatments...and then the disease is gone...that is not happening here.
take care..hugs.
Trust me many here have tried everything you've mentioned plus stand on our heads.
Maybe it's a cure for what you have, but it's not a cure for Fibro.
I don't think it's very beneficial for you to come on this board and be condescending towards us.
There are a lot of us that have tried gluten free and also the hypoglycemic and sal free diets without any results.
What I really am wondering is:
OriginalK, was your husband ever tested for gluten intolerance? It sounds from your post like he either tested negative or was never tested. Do you mind sharing which? I'd especially like to know if he tested negative but still gained benefits from eliminating from his diet anyway.
Sounds to me you had fibro like symptoms that were caused by your diet. I'm glad you found something that helps you and I'm proud of you for sticking to a strict diet, I know how hard that is.
I do think a diet is very important. I have been on an 80%/20% alkaline/ acid diet for over a year. All organic, non-processed, sugar free, wheat free, no rice, no beans, dairy free except kefir, cage free, grass fed diet and guess what? I still have flares, I still have symptoms, I'm still exhausted. Guess I've ruled out food allergies and gluten intolerance for my fibro.
By the way, yes tomatoes are a fruit that cause inflammation but they should not be considered "acidic" to our bodies. Although it might seem that citrus fruits would have an acidifying effect on the body, the citric acid they contain actually has an alkalinizing effect in the system.
