I have been diagnosed with Fibro since October of 2013 and I am having some new issues that I don't know how to handle. I have always had the pain but the fatigue is getting worse as well as the "fog". I used to be able to remember every little thing but now I can't seem to remember most anything. I am just so tired all the time and it is making me really depressed. I just want my life back like it was. I am taking 300 mg of Neurotin 3 x a day, 50 mg of Tramadol 3 x a day, 1mg of Ativan twice a day and Amotriptyline at night for sleep. I also take Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 every day. I have a doctors appt on Wednesday. I plan to mention all this then but does anyone have any other suggestions on supplements or drugs and I could be taking?

I've been diagnosed since 2012 and I'm in the same meds u r minus the ativan.
What is working for me is acupuncture. I go once a week and have been going for five weeks. I play out of my pocket. $50 and it is with somebody who had knowledge of ancient Chinese medicine.
It is working. The pain is decreasing and my energy is coming back. I have been able to work more, the depression is way better and the fibro fog is GONE.
I feel hopeful for the first time in years.
Hope this helps.
You could also try a supplement called D-Ribose for more energy. The brand that I like the best is called Corvalen which was originally developed for congestive heart failure patients. You can read about it and purchase it online.
Acupuncture can be helpful too. Initially, there may be an increase in your overall discomfort level. That indicates that it is working. It is however, an ongoing treatment which not everyone can afford. If you stop going, the relief that you experience will gradually fade away.
And, you can try eating smaller high protein meals more often throughout the day to keep your blood sugar stable. Stay away from chocolate, coffee and energy drinks which will make you crash twice as hard when the buzz wears off.
Start with a sleep study and maybe some blood work to see if anything else is out of whack. Take care.
