My prior clinic doctor decided to move out of state and then I was assigned to this new one whom I seen today. A young doctor, who has no interest in treating fibro patients with other than standard protocol. She felt uncomfortable prescribing my prior meds from the previous doc. She looked at me like I was some sort of alien when I suggested Low Dose Naltrexone. I even gave her an article from a journal that I believe someone posted here. She's not comfortable with me trying it out. She suggested that I find another doc and that she'd refill some of my prescriptions till I find a new doc.

I'm unemployed, no insurance, single, can't work do to the fibro and now must wait till July before the 2 new docs join the clinic. Seems like the clinic is now only hiring docs fresh out of residency. They obviously are taught zilch about fibro.

I guess this is a familiar story here. All I want is to keep my semi working med protocol. Good thing I hoarded some drugs from the previous couple of years otherwise I'd be screwed.

I even gave the doc a printed summary sheet of what I take, brief history, meds I need. Did she read it? Of course not, it takes to much time to read 3 minutes worth of reading. I'm not a happy camper. I also learned that I'm going to have to lie about what I've been prescribed in the past even though it doesn't include any benzo's or hydro's. The only way to get certain meds is through friends and family which I realize is a big No No.
meds shall get through this. This is the first pain in the rear doc I've had in a long time. I'm hoping the next one will be better.

My advice to all: stock pile whatever meds you can that you normally use. Things are going to get worse for us people in pain. Docs are getting more paranoid about prescribing meds even if you been taking the same stuff for years prescribed by a previous doc.

Just feel mad and mad invokes more pain, which means more down time. Thanks for listening.
