cymbalta and increased eye pressure

I am sort of considering trying cymbalta for fibro. I am very afraid of trying it because I am very sensitive to meds. Also, it will be expensive- my insurance is medicare. I have been reading about cymbalta and came across info about if you have increased eye pressure you should not take it. I have increased eye pressure and I am diagnosed as pre-glaucoma. I am waiting to hear back from my eye Drs office regarding this, however I have experience with Drs in general over the years not really taking into account my other medical problems and the meds I take - so big trust issues.

So does anyone have any experience or knowledge regarding cymbalta and increased eye pressure?

Not eye pressure, but eyesight was an issue for me. I only took it for six days and my field of vision decreased, along with such degradation of my eyesight that I had to make the letters on the computer huge just to do my work.

If your eye pressure is 20 or higher - if the cup to disc ratio of your eye is greater than .5 or if you have a family history of glaucoma then you are at an increased risk for glaucoma.

Lots of these medicines are not good to take in that situation so be sure & do your research.

I took cymbalta for a year. I had to take it at night due to extreme nausea. I stopped taking it three weeks ago OMG. every time i moved my eyes i got shocked right behind my optic nerve. it was quite debilitating i still am having side effects from it.

Toothfairy and milily did you see the case of the guy whose optic neuritis was reversed after chelation therapy.

I too have Fibromyalgia from metal intoxification (gadolinium). In addition like milily I am very sensitve to meds.
