Look for the good in everyday.
When I first got sick, I just could not manage a thing...I went everywhere I needed to go in my PJ's (luckily they kinda look like Yoga pants). I went to the grocery store, therapy, Dr's appointments...all in my PJ's, hair in a pony tail, no makeup.
After about a year and a half, I was cleaning out my closet and found some old Avon samples from when I used to sell the stuff, and I washed my face and put the cream on, and if felt good! I forgot how much I liked Avon skin products. So little by little I bought a cleanser, scrub, moisturizer, and one day my regular cashier at the market said, "Your skin looks so nice" I'm not trying to sell Avon, it's just it took me well over a year and many small steps to do a few things that made me feel better about myself, and someone noticed and that was nice.
Now, I've ditched make up, except some lip gloss, b/c it is way too much effort, and I still occasionally wear my yoga pants/PJ's to the store, but there are days when I throw on a pair of jeans, and it is not so bad.
I can't get rid of Fibro, all I can do is try to integrate it into MY life, rather than let it swallow me whole.
It's all baby steps...
Feel better all,
LuLu
Take Care, Dawn
