A lot of your symptoms sound like fibro, and also have you had your thyroid checked.
Perimenpause usually starts about 10 yrs before menopause so in your forties.
I wish you the best in getting a diagnosis, have them check the thyroid with blood tests and an ultra sound to be sure that there are no nodules on it.
I had an ultrasound last year so that would have seen ovarian cysts wouldnt it? But the period problems have only started in the last 6 months. Have had thyroid checked and it is fine. I have the trouble where my doctors think I am a hypercondriac so wont listen to me! they have never said that but give me that impression. As I have anxiety issues too they just blame it on that and say it is my head!
abdominal pain all over
back pain all over
gassy
nausea
iritable bowel syndrome
It's something they don't often look for in someone your age, as it's commonly diagnosed in middle-aged women, but my daughter and my cousin both had theirs out when they were about your age, so it's not crazy to ask them to look at that as well.
None of this means you DON'T have fibromyalgia, but it sounds like there is still more than that going on as well. If you don't get satisfaction from your doctors, find different doctors.
So do they basically give a fibro diagnoses once they have rulled out everything else?
