I have used heat and or ice seems to help sometimes.
Being a gal who has to wear one and living with the pain from the costo-crap. I have found these sleep bras. They were designed for women after breast surgeries. Front closure and the offer a decent amount of support.
And they won't break the bank:

I wear these all the time. But when I have to get dressed up to go somewhere, I yank out the old ones that try to kill me. I figure I can hold it together for an evening or so.
Deep breaths, bras. All the that hurts too....
On Thursday, last week, I started feeling as though I had swallowed a piece of bread and it was slowly going down my esophagus. The pain did not let up until Friday evening. My heart was racing and I was having trouble breathing upon walking across the room. By Sunday, I had had enough and went to the ER.
They did the blood test to check for the enzyme and lo and behold, I did have a heart attack. I had a stress test the next day and an angiogram on Tuesday, where they placed a stent in my right artery. I'm 49 and this was an eye opener for sure.
I know that Fibro mimic's so many other things as I thought the same for 4 days before I went to the ER. Don't take a chance, even if you have had the symptoms in the past, went to the ER and your heart was fine, get it checked out.

Having said that, HEART DISEASE is the #1 Killer of Women. Did anybody know that?? The signs are very mild and often are misconstrued as:
1. Acid Reflux
2. Back Pain/Shoulder Pain
3. Jaw Pain
4. Nausea/Sweating
to name a few.
Women often do not go to the ER or complain to their doctor until it is too late. We do not have the classic signs that a man has. Every woman over 50 should have an EKG for a baseline reading so that later one can look back and see the difference. Blood tests such as CRP, Sed Rate are a must for us Fibro folks and especially those with arthritic/or inflammatory problems. I have a form of heart disease that was silent for years. My BP has always been a perfect 110/70 and still is. So was my cholesterol until just recently. The inflammation, over time, narrowed my arteries to the point that I had to go into a last ditch effort of EECP treatment at age 47. I am lucky. There were no options for me. My vessels are so small they cannot stent or bypass them.
Do not ignore the signs. At least have an EKG as part of your regular checkup every year because women often find out they have a heart problem when it is too late.

Please take this seriously.
I do agree that an EKG is necessary as part of your physical just to rule out heart disease.
