Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
Actually I have heard that more people are now looking for the occasional odd jobs due to the economy.
If you can afford to do that it doesn't even make sense to do it yourself. Even without fibro there is so much more to do and cleaning toilets has just never been something I considered a good use of my time.
Go for it!
I know that when I'm feeling really bad and can't do even the usual picking up, I can't even relax in bed and feel even worse. Like a loser. On good days, I can do a little. Last week, I even cleaned all the floors. I paid for it dearly. Usually I just try not to make messes or clean up right away when I make a mess.
I keep chlorax wipes in the bathroom and wipe the toilet sink and the outside of the tub. Sometimes, I clean while sitting on a toilet. I know, tmi. ;-) Well, one has to do what they have to do.
I have to keep most of whatever little energy I have for work. When I win the lottery, I will get someone to help be clean, too.
So Mililly, good for you, it will help you, and I'm sure the lady will be glad to get another customer.
Take care.
I live in a tiny studio apartment, but with two cats. I can keep up with the picking up and litter box, but laundry is hard for me (machine is on a platform and I'm barely tall enough to reach the bottom of it).
Dusting, vacuuming, mopping... you have to do them all in one go or it's useless. And the one time I tried, it put me in bed for the next day.
I have to remind my boss to find me a new person (my previous one was too flaky). I wish I had the energy and mental capacity to pick up with my Korean lessons again. But at this point it would be throwing money away. I can't keep vocabulary in my head longer than 30 seconds (or so it seems)
