Adderall gave me energy to the point that I had hopes of maybe going back to work part time, and my mind was starting to work better. I had been taking Adderall for my Fibro Fatigue for almost 6 weeks, when I crashed big time. I fell to sleep behind the wheel about 2hrs after I took my morning Adderall dosage. I didn't even realize I was that tired. I knew I was tired, but then again I am always tired.
My theory is that I had stored up a little bit of energy in my cells from juicing for over 6mths. Then when I started taking Adderall I felt more energy, but in reality I was only depleating the stores that I worked so hard to produce. I will not take Adderall anymore, or any sleep medicine. I am working to get myself off of my Cymbalta. I don't want to take anymore medications I coming to believe that meds only work against me. I will continue to try and heal myself by the foods I eat and the life that I lead.
I don't know if I have any answers, I hope you find what you are looking for.
Good Luck

@lizzy: Hrm...I will look into that. I googled the product, and it looks interesting.
@Dixie: I am already on fish oil, but my doc told me it was for general inflammation. But that's interesting to know it helps w/the fibro-fog too...if I were not already on it, it would probably be worse!
@Spacegirl: That is disappointing, but good to know...and unfortunately inline with the negative things I had read. How long did it take to kick in? I am wondering if it something that could be taken as needed (e.g. just on days w/the bad fibro-fog) to avoid the crash you experienced....
My dr actually had to talk me into trying it. I don't know your doctor would react, maybe you could mention that you had read of people taking it for their FibroFog. At least that way you are not asking for it, or print out articles and take them in. Ask your doctor if he thinks it would help for a day or two at a time and not to take it every day.
@Grammie: Ugh, that is so rough. I can totally relate to what you are saying about reading the same sentence over...and over...and over... I know I should feel lucky that my fibrofog isn't that bad all of the time, but the days it is its just so frustrating. Thank you for sharing with me...all the support from you and the others on this group sure helps. :)
