Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
Having said that, I don't believe they have anything to offer for fibromyalgia pain, even though they would like you to believe they do.
Got a back problem? Might be worth looking into - but not for fibro.
My Dr used the proadjuster from my head all the way down to my buttocks. I also spent 15 min on a table while having the tens unit on and heated towels over the tens unit. I layed face down on the table & it would move up & down so my whole lower body from waist down was going up & down for 15 min. I also was getting 15 min massages which were not at all comforting or relaxing. The lady tried to work out my muscles but they hurt so bad, it felt like I had big hard rocks inside me.
It helped lower my pain down to a level of 2 but by the time I got back home my pain level was right back up to where it was before the treatment. That only happened twice. After 2 months of trying and hoping, it was not helping and I suspect it was making me worse, plus my insurance did not cover it and I spent quite a bit of money in those 2 months so I quit going.
That is my experience and other than that article, I don't know of anyone with Fibro that has benefited from a chiropractor. Everyone is different though. Maybe ask your Dr to see what they think? Best of luck to you and take care!
Thanks for posting your story. I've never been to one and I think I'll still with that record.
