Just wanted to check in. Been checked out of my life here for a few days at least. I've always been a list maker. When Fibro began to suck in my life, I tried to alter my lists. Like so many of you, I have lost most of my life, or altered it in some way. They say it's the change of seasons that has increased my pain to (OH MY GOD I WANT TO DIE, WILL IT EVER END!). For 2 weeks now, I have wanted to write to my grandchildren. We send pictures back and forth, as well as coloring pages to finish. You wouldn't think it would be so hard to pick up a pencil, pen, etc. As I write this on my pc, my neck/back is on fire. My darling hubby rubs Diclofenac cream on me when he gets home at night and that relieves it somewhat, but that is 7 or 8 pm. How do you explain to young children that you're still sick, after a couple years? Again, maybe just needed to voice it. As always I will try to "push through" because really what else can I do. Please pray for me that I can get a shower and get ready for my breast doctor appointment tomorrow morning. She found lumps in my right breast as well. Last year, left breast lumpectomy and lymph removal, but still, thank God was not yet cancer. Hang in there! Peace.

Take care counting. Praying you have the energy to get showered and to your breast doctor and praying extra hard that it is the same as last year.

I am with you. I am going through changes in my life as the seasons change. This condition is really not fun. I am emotional and exhausted. I am just going to eat and go to bed even though a long list sits in front of me. I do think that Fall and Spring are periods of change, with the change in length of day, barometric pressure etc....Wishing you well

Thanks everybody for the well wishes! Turns out I have a growing 3 cm lump in my right breast - surgery set for October 11th. Yea, I'm a little nervous. It doubled in size in a year, so not too vicious or frightening. It's right behind my nipple though and they will go in under the areola in a kind of smile cut. Hmm, not smiling. While I am so overwhelmingly grateful that last year's excision turned out to be benign, because of the placement it left me with half a nipple and no feeling therein. Not really "counting my blessings" when I say I miss having feeling in my nipple, darn it and don't really want to lose the other. However, that being said, Hubby assures me he'll make up for it somehow. Lol.

thanks all! ItsJust, I know someday I may be at the shower chair point, but I'm gonna hold out as long as I can. It's not a matter of safety, just fatigue, so... Thanks tho

I started using a shower chair two years ago - at the ripe, old age of 25. Fatigue is a huge thing for me that limits every moment of every day. I have to take energy conservation seriously, even if that means doing things only octogenarians do.

OMG!! Sonyacon! can't get my mind around that. I am so sorry. You are so young to have to deal with this garbage. I'm glad it helps you. Anything to ease it, any measure of comfort. I know it's probably not correct to say "I'm so sorry " to you, but my heart cries out and that's all I know how to say. I only pray you have a strong and loving support system and that there is something in your life that brings you joy. GREAT BIG HUG!

No worries, you didn't say anything wrong. I can feel your sincerity, and as someone in the same medical boat, I know that you understand what you're talking about. It's not just platitudes, coming from a fellow fibo-person.

I have a one person support system, which I'm sure is not great for her, but she brings me more joy than anything ever has in my life. So I still consider myself fortunate, if not in some aspects, then at least in others. :) Hugs all around. It makes me happy to see new members take to the board like you have and liven things up. Thanks, sonya, I am glad to be here (literally and "here" figuratively,) Ha ha. Guess there's a degree of depression in my voice when I say : hey, where are all those people who kinda promised to be my support system if the sh** ever hit the fan? hmmm. Ah, life! well I have my hubby, who though clueless, pretty much has put up with everything over the years, and is in it for the long haul. "let's deal with that if it comes," he says stoically while I whip around in an Irish dervish flair, all drama and stuff, truly worrying about things COMPLETELY out of my control. For my (adopted) stoic ending I will just say: This too shall pass. Have a great day!
