Such sad news, please send my sympathy and prayers to her husband and family.

It was lung cancer! Go read her journal!!

I didnt even know her but reading her journal I would have wanted to know her...I hope that her family finds peace and healing

That is so sad to go so young but I hope she had little pain at the end!! Let her husband know our hearts are with her.

I am totally blown away by this news How tragic she was so young I thought she was doing good..What happened??

I had invited Carrie68 to join the Tootsie Pop Mafia (one of the first sub-groups). When she checked out the group, she saw that some of the members there were saying unkind things about others. She brought this up on the main discussion board here & all hell broke loose.

She decided not to post on the board anymore & one of her last journal entries mentioned that she wasn't running away from this group, she just didn't want to be part of the stress & BS anymore.

I dropped her off my friends list because I felt what she did could have been handled in a different manner. I was stubborn & unwilling to talk to her about what happened.

Bottom line: I refused to offer my support to her anymore. And she passed from this world without contributing one more word of support to our group.

This is OUR loss & another reminder of how brief our time is here on Earth.

Carrie was a strong minded woman who held herself to a high code of ethics. It cost her some friendships here on DS but she wasn't willing to compromise & she spoke out for what she believed was the right thing to do.

I hope & pray that her family will be comforted in this time of loss.
And I am ashamed that I didn't see her, until now, for the pillar of strength & grace that she was.

Your so right Leslee..Our time is so short and the pain we live in makes it so hard sometimes to remember whats really important..Rest peacefully Carrie you touched our lives and our hearts.....

Ty for letting us Know...I had been checking her profile periodically to see if she was around...but now it won't allow me into her Journal...just boots me right off the Internet completely everytime I attempt it...Lung cancer...at 39 years of Age...her Husband is a very dear man to come on here and let us know...

I had to laugh.... feisty Carrie wanted to make sure there were no mistakes!!! I love that Ray dreamt about her and she told him he didn't tell us how she died.
I'm glad he came back and did another journal entry and could see how much we all respected her.

Oh my lord...

What happened? What caused her to pass on at such an age?

I don't believe that I met Carrie. This is very sad news. My sympathy to her family and friends on here.
