Polybizz has a great idea. I would add a theraputic type massage as well. You or a family memember could learn how. K has been doing much better since I or my husband massage her 3 times a week. She still has some issues, but not as severe.
At times we have used ice packs and/or heating pad. Warm baths are one of her favorites. I have also found keeping her on a healthy diet works wonders. Processed foods and sugar make her symptoms more severe. Currently removing glutin, going to see if that helps.
We are trying to do things so we can avoid medications if possible. Now if it comes to it, we will, but if we can avoid it I think its best. They are so young to start with meds that potentially can damage the kidneys and liver, and given that their bodies and brain are still developing.
Other than that, the best advice I have is listen to your gut. If the doc isn't listening or right for you.....find a new one. You know what your child needs. It is one thing to fight for ourselves, but another thing entirely to fight for our kids. Let the Mama Lioness come out to play!
Others here should also have some ideas. Good hunting! Keep us updated as many here are facing the same issue. Sending hugs, love, and comfort.

There are a number of issues starting with the rare and moving to the fairly common that could cause the symptoms you're describing, but I don't want to list them because you really need to go to the doc with symptoms only and get a full evaluation.
You're talking about your doc not listening - I assume that's not the doc she'll be seeing, as at seven she should be seeing a pediatrician. Children are a specialty all their own as things occur during the developmental stages of our bodies that aren't issues with adults.
Good luck - I had a child with medical issues and it's hard to see your children hurting - but chances are one of two things is going to occur - either it will be something they can easily treat, or she'll grow out of it.
she uses ice packs on her back..i massage her,she takes naps on wkends while others are out playing, she takes ibuprofen for pain, our p.c.p. prescribed it.....but..with your daughter having so much pain you dont want to over lokk something more serious..get blood work done, make sure nothing else is going on,,,if your doc has no compassion for your pain he wont for her either, find a new doc!....your on my mind as i know it hurts you to see her hurt.

As for your doctor, you should be on medication for Fibromyalgia. There are 3 primary medications used: Cymbalta, Savella and Lyrica. You also need a sleep medication. There are still a lot of doctors out there that do not believe in FMS. It is recognised by the Centers for Disease Control, the National Arthitis Foundation and the World Health Organization. His lack of treatment is denying you a better quality of life.
To find a fibro friendly physician in your state, go to the National Fibromyalgia Association website. You can see a list of providers for every state. You should be seeing a rheumotologist and/or a pain management specialist (I have both) for proper treatment of FMS.
Good luck to you and your daughter. It breaks my heart to read about how badly she is feeling. I will keep you both in my thoughts. Take care.
