I started Savella on Monday evening after taking Lexapro for a few years. I went right from Lexapro 10 mg to Savella 12.5 mg. Tuesday morning felt great, Tues night barely slept, Wed started with a headache, Wed night felt run down and could not sleep. Thursday another headache along with low grade fever so I have stopped the Savella. Debating whether to try this stuff again. Missed 2 days of work due to feeling crummy.
Has anyone had experience with this kind of thing? Was thinking maybe give both Savella and Lexapro a week to get out of my system and then start Savella once a day in the morning but keep the dose at 12.5 for a while. I only weigh 115 lb so I may not need the dose the starter pack recommends. Any ideas?

It's really hard to know what can be attributed to the meds and which symptoms are just the disease.
So sorry you are having a hard time with it.
I thought they were going to pull Savella off the market.

There is others here who are taking Savella who will be able to help with some ideas on this I am sure.
Sorry your having a hard time with this. Know it can get frustrating trying to know what should do. Good idea unduki to journal what your feeling with new meds..

Good idea to stop both for a week to let the lexapro get out of your system. If I had it to do all over again, that's what I would have done.
PS The Savella was very effective for the pain. Side effects just kicked my butt. Everyone's different. Many people report no side effects. Good luck on whatever you decide!
Why can't you slowly decrease the Lexapro and you increase the Savella? Seratonin Syndrome is probably not likely to happen in a short amount of time.
