I have that every day, although the twitches aren't always in the same place. My doctor told me that it's like restless leg syndrome, but it's not in the legs, and it only happens right when I think I'm just about asleep and then I'm totally awake. My doctor gave me Klonopin for it. I get the generic Clonazepam because it's cheaper.

yes, that is exactly what happens to me...does clonazepam working for you...

My bf has those body twitches and he takes Doxepin at bedtime. I take Requip at bedtime for RLS but that is just in my legs. Good Luck with it :)

My entire body had convulsed to the point that my whole body came up off the bed a good 4-6 inches. Yep, I've jerked so badly that I couldn't speak. This is "normal" FM I guess. MIRAPEX, which is being used for FM jerking, is actually a Parkinson Disease med but it has been a MIRACLE for me. I can move and have less pain and tons of energy. I think the energy is due to the fact the pain is less and I am not worn out dealing with the pain.

I just found an article that finally explained it. I got the paper off the web but I can't find it now anyway it is calles Myoclonus (myo-muscle; Clonus-Jerk)
That is what I have and sometimes it really bad. I've jerked so hard it made the dogs scared...definately woke my husband... they can be a pain

I too get these twitches and jerks,sometimes they can cause alot of pain and often at night they disturb my partner.What helps as I'm in uk and my gp is next to useless. hugs xxx

holy crap, I thought I was imagining things! it'd be right as I'm fixin' to fall asleep I have this violent twitch all over, then I'm awake and frustrated. sometimes my legs twitch, other times it's my arms, and sometimes my whole body. glad to know I ain't nuts!

I have the same thing. Klonipin usually helps some. I have never really mentioned it to my doctor.
My daughter has the same thing but does not have fibro. Doctors have said it is nerves. She is also on Klonipin but seems to make no difference to her twitches

There are still doctors who say "it's NERVES"? Welcome back to the dark ages before we had real diagnostics.

I do have it - not every night but probably 2-3 times week. I also have twitches all over my body almost all the time. As I'm writing this I'm paying attention to what's twitching right now, and it's in my thighs at the moment, but in the next minute could be just about anywhere.

i definately do hubby was used to it and the first guy i was with after hubby died thought i was dying. gg
