Bedridden

Hi everyone.is anyone else practically bedridden ?unfortunately that's what I am now-except since the burst pipe in bathroom and MOLD-it's sofa ridden!!its bad enough fibro causes us not to get good sleep- now I'm having to sleep on the sofa!!My fibro is in full flare along with myofascial pain.degenterative disc disease and not recovering from having my gallbladder out!!The last thing I needed was mold added in(to which I'm highly allergic !!i can barely make it to grocery store and have to use scooter when I do ,and that is a good day for me anymore :(. Wondering if anyone less is this bad off?

HELLO SO SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR TROUBLES, IT WOULD HELP TO HAVE A AIR PURIFIER FOR THE MOULD, ITS PROBABLY AFFECTING YOU, I HAVE 2 ONE IN THE BEDROOM AND ONE IN THE LOUNGE, THE BLUEAIR IS THE BEST, HOPEFULLY YOU WILL FEEL BETTER, GOING THROUGH A FLARE IS NOT EASY, KEEP STRONG, IT WILL PASS, LOVE **

When I have flare, if the hot pad doesn't work , I take Tylenol #3. Weather is a factor here with the high humidity, I am in agony. I hope you are getting some sleep. I find if I can get some sleep(can only sleep upright in a lounge chair) the pain is less. You have my complete sympathy. Isabelle1954

Some days I'm unable to sit very long and am stuck in bed all day too. Hope you start to feel better soon.

Hi Laurijil,

Sorry to hear about the mold. It affects me greatly too and I've been bedridden this last week partly because of it being in the high count.

I was in a house that had indoor mold and it wreaked havoc on my health. I hope you can remedy your situation soon.

I am gonna be cringing today because of weather, but I force myself to not be bedridden. I *was* because of a spinal and pelvic injury for most of 2011 and part of 2012, so I just remind myself how hard it was to relearn to walk and make myself walk, even if it's only a lap around one floor of my house....

As for mold, that stuff is evil beyond belief. If you can't flat out move, then find an air purifier meant to filter out mold spores and other fungal nasties. They're pricey, but worth it if you're stuck in a living situation.

I certainly sympathize and send well wishes. I am bedridden today, although some days are worse than others. Certainly have had long stretches of being bedridden/sofa bound. Today I have been trying to feel okay with how little I can do and not feel guilty and disheartened. On this particular day, not much success with this. It always is in flux though and naming this even brings a little peace. This is a tough experience, for sure.

Sorry to hear about your troubled. Somedays are just trerrible for me. It hurts when i sit down as i have sclerosis in the S.I. joints and my knees hurt when i stand due to a vitamin D deficiency. So lying down is the only option
