Since my husbands diagnosis, we have had two family friends approach us regarding products that they believe will help him. I honestly believe they're trying to help, and not just sell something. They were very sincere, and one of them said she has chronic fatigue syndrome and the product has helped her. But even though I think their intentions are good, im skeptical of any product that has to rely on a multi-level marketing business plan. I feel like if it really worked, it would be in pharmacies and doctors would be prescribing it.

So I'm just wondering if any of you have any experience with either if these products, and did they help you?

I've never heard of either, but the last year people have recommended everything under the sun to me for Caleb. With all the meds he's all ready taking, I've politely declined.

I haven't heard of those but I have spent between $20 - $100 for a bottle of pills on numerous occasions. Some I can't tell a difference in at all, some I do but then I stop because it makes me sick to my stomach. Even taking the "vitamin & supplement regimen" prescribed by my doctor makes me sick to my stomach. My aunt just bought me & mom some products that turned the salesperson's life around, she has fibro & was on disability. The shake is vanilla flavored & I can't stomach it no matter what I put it in. Again, the pills make me sick. Moms been so sick with the antibiotics that she can't stand the smell. the salesperson finally stopped harassing me once a week.

You can probably search for Leo's post about her SIL selling Magic Snake Oil as she called it. Very hilarious if you didn't read it at the time

I agree if it worked.......we would all be telling each other about it. Not to say it doesn't help for some but I don't put much faith & hope into that stuff any more.

Well put Fantod; I have family members who have been in one networking type deal or another, and the 'cure of the day' is always wonderful for about a year, then something happens and they move to another company. Nah, I agree; JUST SAY NO!
PS-every one is different, however if one has trouble 'stomaching' meds that are prescribed...why risk the 'snake oil' :)

We call it the Magic Juice. It not only won't help, it's not even what they say it is.
