My leg hurts so bad, even with all the meds I take and all the things I do to alleviate it - patches gel, heat, elevating, stretching, massaging hope somebody has experience with this system, I can afford it (barely) but I don't want to throw money away!
My left foot/ankle keeps getting swollen or no reason, likely the MPS? And my right leg has been killing me for weeks now! The Gapapentin has made it so that I don't hurt everywhere from the waist down, but my knee and feet are in constant pain.
I am going in on Friday for my first every trigger point injections - starting with the right knee and right forearm if we have time for two locations. I'm really really hoping for some relief! BTW, this specific pain is from myofascial pain syndrome - I have tons of knots just under the skin. They cover the top of my forearm and about 30% of my right leg - not fun! I have them in the arches of my feet too, but I apparently can't have her just give me injections everywhere the first time out.

Basically it is big sleeves with separate cells (4 for each leg, not sure on the others) you put on and the machine fills the cells with air one at a time. It's supposed to improve circulation but also has a massage mode that you can control the pressure. It massages the muscles and also gently stretches the joints.
I'm getting nervous about my first ever trigger point injections this week, hoping they help and that she can cover a lot of area with them for me.
KatieAngel - I hope you get one under the tree! :) I'm sure I will be getting nothing this year since I'm spending so much on myself in medical dollars. But I do have a $150 a month yarn and wool roving habit, so I can't complain lol.
As for the equipment, if you can get it reimbursed it might be worth trying. I am an advocate, however, for diet verses medicine.
