Do you have a Sleep Number bed?
If so how do you like it?
I have heard good and bad about them. I am thinking of getting one.
I just get worried that all the air will come out of it...LOL
Did you got o the actual Sleep Number store? Also when it was delivered did they put it all together for you? Just wondering.
Thanks! :)
We had the sleep number for close to 9yrs before I threw in the towel with it.
I loved the sleep number for crawling into at night. It was pure bliss on this worn out body of mine. But by 3am-5am, I was waking up in severe pain. I tried all of the settings several times over and nothing could prevent this from happening.
And I was really torn about it because I honestly loved going to bed in it.
So, when an offer came up for a memory foam bed, I thought we'd give it a try. And it's been so amazing. With this bed, I love going back to it even more. I love how it just gently hugs ever sore muscle I created during the day and though I still flip and turn at night, I can easily find a soft spot again quickly and fall back to sleep.
Where does this advice lead to? Try now to figure out your body and what you think is causing your problems. I have bad DDD and arthritis in my spine. If I didn't have that, I think we could have stayed with the sleep number.
Also, QVC offers sleep number beds. They often have these beds on sale either near Christmas time or around New Years. They offer installment plans and often have an extended return policy. Meaning, if you don't like it, you can return it. Here is a link to some of what they offer. But be sure to try it out at a sleep number store too to see if you like it. And you may find better sales at the store.

I wish you luck in finding the right bed. Here's to sweet dreams!
& for the comfort of the head & neck we have memory foam pillows, they are low on 1 end higher on the other, very comfortable , & i've ad less neck cramps & migraine headaches with the pillows..
My research had led me to believe I wanted a latex over foam mattress. Apparently they are all latex with a touch of foam. They had the highest rating for comfort over the long term, if I remember correctly.
However, the fellow at the shop I went to said mattress companies are getting away from the 20 & 30 year guarantees because folks just don't use their warranty if their bed is that old. Interesting. I always consider the length of a warranty to be an indication of a company's faith in their product.
So, I'm impressed with the sleep number bed for its warranty and I know when my Mom was getting older than 80 years, she had to switch back and forth between the softer and more firm beds in her home - so the sleep number would certainly provide options for change.
Oh, I almost forgot, one research study found most people who liked their beds over the long term were on a mattress that was very slightly more firm than right in the middle between firm & soft. In other words if 0 is softest & 10 is most firm, the beds rated 5.6 on firmness rated best over the long term.
I threw my hands up in confusion & decided to post pone the purchase. Sorry if that's more confusing than helpful, but I'd love to see what else turns up in this discussion so I can learn more. Good luck to you! Beds are not cheap and they are so important!
