Hi to all. I don't post much, but do read a lot of the posts and definetly understand and feel what a lot of you go through. I have had fibro (and other chronic pain issues) for a long time, and usually don't think or feel that anything is new, but something new hit me today...
I was at the beauty parlor/barber today with my husband and we were both getting hair cuts. He in one chair and I in the other. The ladies (sisters) are probably in their 50's and are on their feet doing hair all day long. Well, my husband was asking her about how the pain was in her feet and legs from standing all day and she said, on no, I do not have any pain in my feet or legs. My jaw almost dropped because I just assumed that everyone that would be on their feet all day would have at least some pain. It made me think about what life would be like without having daily chronic pain for most of my life. I do not know what life is like to not hurt some where... must be nice. :)
Have a great day!

Good day to all.So let me explain why we're discussing this today. The problem is, if your system gets too many (as in produces too many) it's a non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL) called Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia, and my husband was diagnosed in early 2018.Every monocloncal antibody or protein in your blood is essentially a blank, a slug, as they call coins that have been minted but not...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...

Then I just figure they're getting better meds than I am. My friend who does hair comes right on out and admits that her "coffee breaks" usually included a few minutes of yoga stretches and a heating pad, or one of those foot massage things....
WOW - for about five days I had no arthritis pain at all - and even with the residual fibromyalgia pain, I felt so much better I was thinking "this is how other people feel."
I can't imagine a pain free life - more than twenty years of this stuff dulls the memory of anything that came before.
My pain doc gave me a lidocaine (sp) injection into my occipital nerve. For 2 weeks, I was relieved of my unrelenting headache. It was heaven. The doc told me that the injection does cause damage to the nerve and I could only have it once a year. I decided the relief was not worth the risk.
If only.....
