This is what a friend of mine says:
"Here is some information from the Angular Cheilitus Foundation. It says it is linked to lack of B1 and B12. No other B vitamin is more dependant on its fellow B vitamins than B1. If you lack B12, B1 will be excreted in your urine. The researchers from Warwick University (study in book) discovered that type 1 and type 2 diabetic patients had a 76% decreased thiamine (B1) concentration in their blood plasma. It was not due they found to a deficiency of dietary imput of thiamine, rather it was due to a "profound increased rate of removal of thiamine from the blood INTO THE URINE." When this study was released to the public, diabetics all over the world started to supplement with B1. The result of this was their kidneys started to shut down and world wide press releases had to be issued to tell them to stop. The problem is in the metabolism of B12 and B1,not in the amount consumed in either supplement or dietary form. Just as in RA, if you are unable to carry protein bound calcium, it will be deposited in your soft tissues. Taking more calcium, would just give your body more to deposit in your soft tissue, since the problem is the metabolism of the calcium, not the amount consumed."
So I'd say you should keep the dairy and be sure you're actually able to metabolize the nutrients. Raw dairy foods would have more healthful nutrients.
