ammonia scent?

Hi, all.... some time ago I recognised that a scent of ammonia was coming from my skin. Today I read about mycoplasma causing a chemical reaction whereby ammonium ions are picked up and a cyanide is left behind... I dunno, I just wondered if anyone else has a scent of ammonia to them, and if it's possibly got to do with this weird chemical thing going on when the cells are killed and the nucleic acids are dumped into the blood...

I'm reading this book and adding up all that applies to me. It's a LOT.

Now I remember...we had a guy work for us once...Man he Stunk !! Ya couldn't go into the bathroom after he had been in there...AMONIA...Bigtime !!

I made him go to the Dr.

Bladder Infection..

Why did that not come to me before ? Like it was just NOT there...hit me Full today tho..Yea..I would get that checked girl to be sure..it wasn't a regular Bladder infection either..he had No other Symptoms other then the smell...had something to do with Acid...Now I don't quite recall..he had to take some Pill to bring his acid levels down..

Idk what I am Talking about...ignore me.

LOL, DakotaRose! it's not my urine, though... and no one else can smell it. It's on my skin. If I put my hand up to my nose, I smell it.. my son says I just smell like a baby's head. argh I can smell it if I put my nose over to my shoulder. It's not 'bo'. It's my skin scent. And it's more like ... (lol) laundered ammonia. Clean ammonia, yeah, that's it...

aaaa, I'll probably go back to doc to re~ascertain all's well enough. don't worry 'bout me, though.

Ok...2 Things Real Quick...I just thought about HOW I wrote that..and I made it sound like YOU Stink !! thats NOT What I meant at all !! Sigh...I am Sooo happy I told ya to ignore me...Geeeez !

For One thing, this Guy had Nasty cleanliness habits..I mean he also had BO...so chances are Good he never, or rather rarely Showered...

Ugh...Yea...I don't even Know why I am still Talkin...Just wanted to Apologize for the WAY that I Wrote that.

My sweat and skin smell like ammonia (or cat pee) big time. However, I had left a cup of coffee in my room for two days, walked in and could smell that cat pee smell. It was the coffee. I stopped drinking coffee for a week. No ammonia smell. I started back up. Ammonia. Plus, I have read that when you work out hard your sweat will really smell of nitrogen. I've also read that smelling this way is completely normal.

lol i al of a sudden smelled pee! after reading the posts on here! started smelling my skin & changed my pj's & went thru my drawer=smelling everything= then the chair i was sittin in!

my dog"HONEY" peed in the kitchen! Iam havin her put to sleep on monday! She is 14yrs & will not even eat fresh cooked chicken breast, out of my hand(HER FAVORITE TREAT) Did read that in nursing homes right before they pass, they smell of ammonnia(cells dying) sorry thats scary but wonder! we all have so many illness's @ the same time! & they always say no-one dies from FIBRO but something! ??CAUSED BY "FIBRO"
i don't have any infection=just had yearly check-up everything fine except i have FIBRO & need spinal surgery & hands redone ASAP! so iam thinking as another poster doid say cells dying! makes since w/my sprain & strain iam ripping tissue just it die before it repaires!? & my body is just cleaning out! things to think about!? Collectivly-We may be the ones that really find a reason or cause of "FIBRO" & hopeful a cure! seems like we know more then the docs right now!
