Allergic reaction to new meds

Well, it is back to the drawing board for me again! Went to PM got my script for Nucynta started feeling my heart racing hands shaking so I just slowed down by thursday my face was swollen and lips looked like I had some major plumper going on. Went to the ER found out it was a bad batch of my meds. Scared the crap out of me. Then when they did my chest x-ray found a nodule on my lung and I need to go get a ct scan to see what that is now. Starting to feel a little bit better they put me on prednisone and I am eating everything in front of me! ugh! I am scared to death to try another medication for the chronic pain. They want me on one that is continiously in my system but, the side effects are just plain scary!

Sorry to hear your news. I don't like Prednisone either. It makes me meaner than a sunburned rattlesnake. And, I want to eat everything in sight.

A bad reaction to one medication, doesn't necessarily mean that you'll have problems with others. Make sure that your pharmacist puts a note in your records that you had a bad reaction to Nucynta.

I hope that you feel better soon and the nodule turns out to be nothing. Take care.

Oh boy.... Wishing you healing annd luck and any other good thing. I have only had bad reactions to two meds---my problem is my silly epilepsy means most meds and I can't play well together from seizure risk. (argh) So keep on hoping, and we're rooting for you.
