I went to a new doc and he gave me samples in a lower dose. I started going down in dose and taking less frequently until I was off. I also had a super cold during that time and was feeling like shit. So I can't tell you if I had any withdrawal or if I was just feeling bad because of the cold. But I think just lowering the dose and taking it less over 2 weeks did the trick. Good luck
Other than the fact that I was going blind, even on that low dosage I was already having a reduced urine stream and sexual side effects - definitely not the drug for me. My pain doc said keep doing what I'm doing because it's working with few side effects.
I still take an additional pain med (Lortab) but I like cymbalta so far. It definately helps control my moods (I'm bipolar depressive).

i've tried so many SSRIs and always find it nearly impossible to tell if it makes me any better. there were times they definitely made me worse though! cymbalta is the first i've tried that's supposed to control pain also. i'm hesitant to stop it now because if it's giving me even a tiny bit of pain relief i'll take it. i've been bedridden and housebound for the last 6 years so anything that can help me get out of bed is worth taking.
