ask your doctor about topamax when you off cymbalta
bonus it makes you lose weight ;]
The references he keeps making to finding out who he is puzzle me - has he elaborated at all on that? I keep wondering if he's trying to say something without saying it, as he doesn't seem good at expressing his authentic feelings - like so many men the only emotion he seems comfortable with is anger.
I'm trying to think good thoughts for you girlfriend but I think you guys need a break from each other. I'm anxious to hear what the couples counselor has to say.
It sounds like you both need to go to your corners. That pain is serious shit that'll make you cranky. He's in the same kind of place and saying stupid stuff he would never say otherwise.
When my sisters and I used to fight as kids, for every unkind thing we said about each other, we had to come up with FIVE things nice to say. Since I was always right, it was really hard for me...
So, If you can, try to think of two things you like about him. Like, why are you living with this guy? Does he at least have a nice ass?
If that pisses you off too much ( I can relate ) then find your happy place and go there. You've got to kick this Cymbalta. Getting stressed out is only going to make it hurt worse.
Lock the door and turn up the music.
I really cant give any advice.. only I never tolerating nothing from any man.. I have had a few .. and got rid of them as soon as they turned into ugly.. lol.. big hugs hun.. keep us posted.. :)
I DO know what it's like to be in the middle of a civil war with someone who is being an ass. My husband and I went through a 2 year battle that caused me to lose 30 pounds in a month and (I believe) started my fibro. After the 2 years of HELL we both finally "healed" enough to work it out, but, I we had 17 years together when war broke out and neither of us was well enough or strong enough to let go. Don't put yourself through a protracted battle. After you have a few sessions of couples councelling under your belt, you'll know if he's being honest and trying and if there's hope. The MOST important thing is to do what's best for YOU.
Great Big Hugs,
Carol
