just my 2 cents...not sure if its worth even that.....lol
I haven't noticed a reduction in pain but long term insufficency can lead the patient to have significant reduction in bone density & increase risk of fractures. I can't be in the sun due to an allergy so I guess I will be taking the 50,000 forever :(
i know when it is low, i get muscle cramps........
i asked the rheumy he said very common with auto immune my aunt with lupus has low vit d.
now i have it checked every 3 wks when i have IGg infusion, they draw blood before to ck Ig levels so now they just check vit d and potassium it is low often also....
I also had a level of around 5, drastically low. Be patient, hopefully will help down the road. Now I take 2000 iu per day. I was on the 50K once a week for around 8 weeks.
Many of us have low vitamin D levels, so we understand what you are talking about.
First, Vitamin D is not supposed to work on your pain level, it works on your energy level.
And Second, Make sure you are taking Vitamin D3.....not just regular Vitamin D.....it has to be D3
You should notice a big change in your energy levels soon, so hang in there
THanks...ELizabeth
