Birth and nursing are very far removed for us, but I was curious. I am sure that it is much more important what we rat now. The article recommends eating sourkrout, kimchi, and yogurt.
So, 16 of 20 of us have IBS, only three were breast fed, and all were delivered vaginally. IBS is clearly very common. So few of us were breast fed. I guess that is common among adults these days.
As to me, I had IBS before I changed my diet. I was born by c section, and I was not breast fed.

side note -- I have often wondered if the 9 solid months of strep infections when I was in 6th grade had some long term effect on my system. I had strep throat for almost 4 straight nmonths, followed by streptococcal pneumonia, then more strep throat, then scarlet fever, rheumatic fever, and a vascular streptococcal infection. All those insane amounts of antibiotics could not have been good for my GI tract, not to mention all the bacterial damage!
