Hello! I'm 38, a homemaker, homeschooling mom of three! I am also a Pastor's wife. I play the piano, sing, sew, blog, read the dictionary, and love antiques. I have had Lupus almost 14 years and Fibro almost 13 years. I also suffer from Interstitial Cystitis (2 years). I probably have the most trouble with the IC. Currenty dealing with some thyroid issues-just waiting on answers.
Hello, I am nearly 49, have a son who is 28 married, and I have three grandchildren from him. I have a daughter 21, who is getting married this Dec. My youngest is a son 19, lives at home going to community college and working. I just last week celebrated 29 years of marriage. I am nurse, work part time nights at a local nursing home. I read, crochet, do word searches, like most crafts, but mostly I like to do card mkaing, stamping and scrapbooking. and spending time with the grandkids.
Medically I have fibro, had major back surgery, had a hysterectomy, and have a bone spur on my left foot. I have a sneaking feeling that I have lupus but just keep putting it off, I guess I really do not want to hear it officially.
I am currently trying very hard to loose weight. Started out third week in Nov. at 211 pounds, yesterday weight was 193 pounds. With the bone spur giving me trouble have not been able to walk like I should.
Hi, 49 years old. Diagnosed with Fibro 5 1/2 years ago. Have a husband and 2 teenage girls.
Recently started working out again. Only way I can lose weight. Had an awesome workout last night, but got on scale today and gained 1.5 lbs. Had a 6 lb loss week before, but feel great so not letting scale get me down. Thank you for this group! Gonna go look for my pedometer!!!
I am 52, married for 28 years. No children, hubby had 5, have one cat. Have fibro and arthritis. I lost my job and haven't been able to find a new one and without insurance I am trying to keep myself as healthy as possible. Lost 16 pounds since I left the job but have recently gained 3 back. I have started back on the treadmill just doing a normal walk since I live in the north and looking forward to warm weather so I can get outside. Weight yesterday was 163 and I would like to lose 23 lbs.
Some days I get up and can barely move but am making myself walk even just for a few minutes. Once I get on the treadmill with my music going it's usually smooth sailing. My body doesn't feel any worse when I get off so I am trying to keep moving.
Thanks for starting the group cause I wasn't going to get on the treadmill this morning but now I am motivated to get moving.
I am 53, married for 32 years. 3 grown children - 29, 27, and 25 . I have had Fibro since January 2002.
I retired from teaching in a public High School in 2002. Now I garden and all sorts of this and that.
Since the onset of this insanity that we call Fibro, I have gained 40 pounds. I have been ssssslllllloooowwwllllyyyy dropping weight again, since I changed my medicines and eating, but Welcome this group. I believe that it will be easier to stay focused with support.

Hmmmm, I belong to the fibro group but this page never came up before!
I'll be 59 in July (cannot belive it!) I first got fibro (then totally unknown for a long time!) when I was 18. Many many symptoms, trying to raise small kids thru out; also have ostearthritis; right now again going thru the trial and error of different meds; most do NOT work!!! It's frustrating; I'm on disability for a few yrs; frustrating to not be with people and don't volunteer for lack of reliability, I feel. I sympathize and also cheer all my co fibro friends! God knows there is help out there for us.. I know for me, one of the worst enemies is stress!! And with twin 20 mo. old grandsons and one on way in a few weeks (she needs our help); loss of touch with people; and hubby who is really, really into hunting and fishing (21 yrs. 2nd marraige); it's, well, lonely, and frustrating sometimes! Lord knows many worse than me, but so tired of getting hopes up, to be dashed, with new meds and new pains... blessings to you all! Linnie 26
Hi Linnie, I just started this group a few days ago, which is probably why it didn`t come up before. I hope we can support and help each other here but in a smaller group setting. My doc has a great blog that might be of help to you. It`s http://painmuse.org

Hi, I am 26, married, with a seven year old daughter. My onset of pain came during my pregnancy and began getting worse right after I had her. I was finally diagnosed in jan of 2008 but believe I had it for atleast seven years. It has been hard adjusting my lifestyle. I currently do not work due to my pain and fatigue. I am a fighter, though. I refuse to let anything beat me! My neck was fractured as an infant which causes a lot of nerve pain other pain. I just found out about my neck last year and the dr said I should have died! I guess that is just how stubborn I am. I am still waiting on funds to get MRI scans to get a proper diagnosis of my neck and back. Have only had xray of my neck done.
I have a lot of passions in life, to many to list. The most important thing to me is my family!
