Birth Control

So I started this clinical study for a birth control pill, well, the past couple weeks, it have severly depressed me and killed my sex drive. I'm gonna tell the dr when I go for my next appt that I don't wanna do it anymore cause i'm tired of feeling like this. Just wondering if bc did this to anyone else?

I've had BC kill the sex drive too. I wonder if it is this particular one you are on? I've had some pills do that and some brands and type not do anything to it.

yeah i've been on plenty of others before and never had this reaction, i've tried other pills, the shot, iud, so it's gotta be these pills. I"m gonna get off them when i go to the dr. but i'm doing a clinical trial and have no insurance so i can't switch bc, i'll just have to go without i guess.

I'm currently on EVRA Contraceptive Patch, it better than the pill. And it doesn't make you lose your sex drive.

I hate BC. I always forget to take them everyday at the same time it's just not for me. I haven't had it kill my sex drive though. I'm actually considering getting the Implanon. It's a form of BC but it is placed inside your arm. I have heard good things about it and it lasts for 3 years. It's the only thing I can get because I haven't had a child yet. My weight and height also interfere with other forms of BC.

Hey lilwonder, My friend is getting the implant in her arm too. I don't know much about it. Can just anyone get this implant or are there certain requirments?

When I went on Yaz, it totally killed my sex drive. Nuvaring brought it back. I love NuvaRing - I've been on it for almost two years.

I have to be on birth control of some sort or else my periods totally interrupt my life. I'm just thankful Nuvaring hasn't totally killed all of my sex drive. before birth control I had a ridiculously high sex drive so maybe a decrease wasn't such a bad thing haha.

I use Mirena and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was on Yaz before and it totally killed my sex drive.

6 months after starting Yaz, I totally lost my sex drive. I assumed it was due to my anti-depressants that I had started around that time, but as soon as I went off Yaz, I got some of my sex drive back. Even though Yaz did wonderful with my periods, I'll use condoms before I let it affect my marriage like that again.
