I could trade most of my extended family members because we've never been close. It's terrible sharing the same DNA with people who are more like strangers to me. It's sad to say that my friends are more like family to me, than my actual relatives. :-(

I'm sorry about your relationship with your father. The only time my siblings were close was during our childhood, but as we grew older.....we drifted apart. What really hurts is that they never considered me as being their equal, and maybe it's better without them because I don't need the drama.
