well to start my family is different and i dont know many who have had a family like this. my husband has 3 boys of his own ( 8,14,16) i have a daughter of my own (5) and we have a daughter together (11 months) but this weekend we had the worst weekend with my daughter who if her father had not interfered would have been diagnosed with ADHD as well as ODD. Normally my daughter is a handful but she has never been this "mean" to me. she is a very dramatic girl and usually very loving over the last year since me and hubby got married her dad has been saying things to her about me and my husband to " egg her on" tells her things like she doenst have to listen to my hubby because he is not her real dad and that she doesnt have to do anything that she doesnt want to when i ask her if she doesnt like it. he tries to stop punishments with my daughter after we have enforced them and tries to take away our parental athority with her. This last weekend has been by far the worst i have ever had to deal with. She had a horrible tempertantrum after she lied about biting the baby and throwing a shoe at her head my husband had to restrain her to prevent her from hurting herself as she flailed about and while this was going on she slapped him several times accross the face and was punching him so he let her go and she carried on for another 15 mins screaming about how she hates us and we are ruining her life and she wants to go live with her daddy because he will take her to disney land after she calmed down, she was sent to her room to think about thingsand what had happened and i went up to talk to her all she would say to me is when i am older i get to chose where i live and i am going to live with daddy and never coming back. my heart is breaking i dont know what to do anymore with her, nothing we have tried has worked and we have tried EVERYTHING. i know the only reason she is saying these things is because of the things he is saying to her, i just dont know what to do anymore. can anyone help me? anyone gone through things like this? will it ever get better? sorry its long
My son was 2 yrs & 8 months old when my daughter was born and suddenly he became \'a handful\'. The pediatrician told me, \'just think of it this way...your son feels like you (me) would feel if your husband came home with another woman.\'
Your daughter might feel she is "lost" because of your husbands 3 kids and a newborn requires so much attention. Your 5 year old may be hurting from having yet one more person to share you with.
My sister (ex-sister) is 5 years older than me. She hated me when I was born and hates me now...she never got over sibling rivelry.
That your ex-husband bad-mouths you and your new spouse is sad and it\'s gonna bit him in his backside someday because if a child is told a parent is BAD they think part of themself is BAD.

Your daughter might benefit by seeing a child pchy. if she is this out of control. She is too young to have soo much anger. The therapist may be able to help you get your ex to see what he is doing if you can`t.
