My parents are so irresponsible.

My parents have been so irresponsible all my life. My father got addicted with drugs since I was young up until now and my mother, on the other hand, told me she had to work abroad for me but when she got there, she eventually got married with a foreign man and probably forgot about me. She didn’t try to reach us ever since. My aunt whom I have been living with, did not get married at all and devoted her life to me. I am so thankful because she was always there for me. Three years ago, I graduated in college and my parents didn’t show up still. But I’m doing fine without them though. Who else have the same story as mine?

Well here is my story and you might be able to relate. I grew up with narcissistic parents who hated each other. Lots of violence and abuse in my home. My father was a meth addict all my life until I was like 17 and he had a heart attack from it. He was doing it long before he had kids. He was never around always in his back room doing drugs and when he did show up it was violent and scary. My mother was an enabler and I think she suffers from a mental disorder because she had a pretty traumatic childhood herself. She always told me all her problems and complaints about my dad since before I could remember. Very manipulative and controlling of our relationship and wanted me to hate my father as much as she did...which I didn’t need convincing, he was already bad all on his own. This type of distinction went in my entire life. They split for a couple years in my teens and neither gave a crap about me and I was thrown to the wolves. I struggled to maintain a relationship with them throughout my 20’s and finally when I had my first daughter I decided enough was enough. I put my foot down and set some hard boundaries with my mother and she couldn’t handle it. Pulled her dramatic tantrum for the millionth time and tried to manipulate me with pulling her love away. This time I let her. I didn’t chase her and I let the relationship end. We haven’t spoken for 4 + years. My father stopped talking to me because of her and that was fine, we were never close and I didn’t feel much of a loss. He recently reached out to me informing me that they are getting a divorce and that he wanted to have a relationship with me. It’s tough cause all he does is vent his problems to me about her and try to get pity out of me. Making himself the victim. When I know damn well he is just as bad as she. I have to keep the calls limited cause he drains me. Doesn’t give a shit about me or my life, just wants to use me. Im actually debating on cutting him off all together cause I get nothing out of the relationship. He will never be the father I wanted or needed and I am tired of being used.

So that’s my story.

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
