My Dad has cancer

My dad was diagnosed with MDS/MPN and there is not cure. The doctor says the average life expectancy is 2-3 yrs from the time of diagnosing. That was last July. I didn't believe it until now when my mother reiterated this to me. I can't stop crying.

I'm sorry to hear that. Are there any cancer support groups in your area? Go the hospital and ask. You may find some help there.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. There is a support group on DS for friends & family of cancer patients. I don't know that it is a very active group, but it might be of some help for you.
My FIL passed away from lung cancer in 2013 after an 18-month battle. It is really hard to watch someone you care about wither away.
It is such an emotional roller coaster. Even though we were able to make peace with the knowledge that cancer was going to take my FIL's life, it didn't lessen the pain of actually losing him.
My best advice for you is to try to make the most of the time you have left with your dad. I hope that you can find some comfort during this difficult time. ((((HUGS))))

I am very sorry to hear about your dad. I lost my dad a few years ago and I know that information does not help you but I can just say I know what you are going through.

My father passed away when I was 7 from stomach cancer, all I can say is please cherish the time you have together and remember all the good times, God Bless you and your family.

Mon nom est Rita kelvin, d'Athnes, en Grce, je fus un patient VIH-positif en raison de la vie insouciante je vivais dans mon pays, je toujours parti et rencontrer des hommes de toutes tailles et de couleurs, permettez-moi de dire que je dors Hustle et autour pour obtenir mon bread.not quotidienne jusqu' ce qu'il est venu un moment je me suis effondr au club, alors je suis prcipit l'hpital, ils avaient effectu de nombreux tests de moi, Il a t observ ngative, pas jusqu' ce que le mdecin m'a dit qu'il devrait procder VIH test, je suis tellement furieux et curieux de savoir ce qui ne va pas avec ma sant, je l'ai fait le test, et il est sorti positif, je suis tellement dprim et la pense de suicide tait ma dernire option.then je tais sur Internet va travers quelques toffes que je voyais des tmoignages propos de DR MOONITA, je dfile vers le bas et ne pas avoir un intrt au sujet de sa substance, mais plus je gard la lecture de poste, les autres tmoignages que je ai eu, donc je me suis soudain eu intrt ce sujet, je tait d'avoir cette pense de peut-tre qu'il pourrait tre une escroquerie ou un faux, mais je dit mon auto, je l'ai fait assez d'argent dans cette vie, alors il est bon je risque d'essayer de voir si son vrai ou faux, alors je fait le contact avec, DR MOONITA et il m'a envoy une tisane et m'a instructions sur la faon de le prendre pour. une certaine priode de temps, je ne comme je l'ai dit-on, jusqu' ce qu'un jour est venu, il m'a appel et m'a dit que je suis guri et que je devrais y aller pour un test, je finalement fait le test, mais tout coup il tait grand choc quand le mdecin m'a dit que je suis srongatif, je suis encore dans le doute au sujet du rsultat de test, alors je suis all six laboratoires diffrents et je ai toujours srongatif la suite, je suis de se marier la fin de mars 2014, je vous remercie DR MOONITA! pour sauver ma vie ... son contact est ci-dessous

militaryspousemd, we are all very sorry to hear of your father's illness. I wish there were something that could be done to help him and your family. Sometimes, a good cancer treatment program can make a difference if you feel it makes sense to do the research. In most cases, families deal with it in the way that the patient feels most comfortable. Our dear cousin fought ovarian cancer for 10 years, one of the longest surviving cases in our area. But near the end she just finally wanted it over with. To this day, we cherish the 9 1/2 years or so that we spent with her knowing the day would come. Please let him know how much you all love him. It will be good for him, and for the rest of your life, it will be good for you and your family.
