Also, think of your kids. What you did took courage, so no wonder you feel weak from it. Take it one day at a time. Pray for strength and realize that you did the right thing.
You now get to redefine your concept of home and set one up where you and your children are safe. Is your family saying you can take as much time as you need? How old are your kids?

We're always here to listen and give you advice and support; Anytime! Stay strong and believe in yourself! Keep moving forward and the day will come when you realize just what a strong woman you are and you made the right decision to better yourself!
Keep moving forward and don't look back!
All my best to you and your children! Amazing woman you are!
After I left a bad situation, it took me YEARS to finally realize that the world isn't out to get me- just the @$$hole I was with..
Stay focused on those lovely girls of yours and know that you are teaching them that they come from strong stock. They will learn that NO MAN SHOULD EVER MISTREAT A WOMAN! You are their hero!!! : ))) I wish my mom had given me that gift 30 years ago... No wonder I got myself involved with cr@p men. You made the right choice and a difference in their lives.
Be thankful and move forward. Baby Steps:):)
You did a very brave thing leaving with just the things you could fit in the car and your children. And what you are feeling about wanting to go back home is normal. With time and the assistance of the counseling, you're going to be ok. Remember you are strong and resilient. You had to be to remain in an abusive relationship for however long you were in it and you showed how strong and resilient you are by getting you and and your children out safely. Keep the faith in yourself, your strengths and your children's well-being.
Best to you.
