So over a year ago i lost my father to cancer of course some family members started their bickering about things(my uncle and aunt that my dad was very mad at right before he died) a lot of arguing went on but I just moved on and let it go didn' let it bother me because i don' really have any kind of relationship with these people so whatever so 6 months later my mom is living with my aunt( my mom and dad are divorced dad was on his 3rd marriage and mom on her 3rd also but she left and was living with my aunt) so my mom and aunt( her sister) get into a fight and my mom moves in with us 3 months after moving in with us my mom passed away we didn' know why at the time she was struggling with a pill addiction so everyone automatically assume it was a pill overdose but I was here and she had been sick I found her and couldn't save her so I live with that every day but immediately people in the family start fighting and arguing and it continued a few months after which led to me and my aunt getting into it and her pretty much telling me I let my mom die how can someone say that to someone I just don't get it I don' think I can ever forgive my aunt for what she said that has changed alot of things in our family and we found out my mom had a heart attack it was nothing she did or anyone one else I just don' understand why people act like this when people die I mean I do but I don't should I just stay away from these people even a few of my cousins that are my aunt' children we were all cousins/Best friends now I don' care to be around them because they don' see that what their mom/my aunt did and said to me was wrong

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Families can be really tough sometimes.
My condolences on both your mother and father, Patti
One of the stages of grief is anger so people can lash out and push each other away sadly when the best thing would be to lean towards one another
I am sorry you've been hurt by anger on top of everything else that you've gone through
If you don't want to deal with them I would just say so..... and let people know that you have NO interest in fighting
Your aunt may be struggling with feelings of guilt
It's impossible to fight if it's one sided …… Gentle hug and a blessing.....xo
Hugs to you.
Bottom line, they were there and they weren't involved that much with my dad to know exactly what was happening. He had a very aggressive cancer and he decided that he didn't want to do much. My forced him to do the small amount of treatment that he did.
People do lash out for all different reasons. I feel that my aunts and grandmother were feeling guilty for not seeing or reaching out to my dad more when he was alive.
Have you ever tried to sit down with your aunt and talk things through?
