Family issues is a huge range that go from minor conflict to major misbehaviour and even abuse on the part of individual members of the family occur. When my husband gets mad he yells and screams at me. He said just yesterday "go F yourself", "stay the F away from me" and threw the car keys at me and said "go to hell". When he gets mad he raises his voice and swears. This is not how I act and I don't like it when he acts this way. I have told him before. I am just tired of it. Yesterday he was so angry when he was yelling at me I was scared. He has never hurt me but he was so enraged I just didn't know. We have been married for 25 years. He has always gotten mad and dealt with it this way but it just makes things worse. I am tired of it. What are the chances that we can make things better? We have not spoken since yesterday. He will apologize and he will be nice and things will be good until the next time he goes on the attack. I need advice.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

He's acting like a teenager having a hissy fit
He could go to anger management and it might help him..... I would tell I'm I've had enough and mean it....
Big hug.....xo
I think counseling would be a great idea, either by yourself or as a couple.
I'm divorced now (long story, but we had kids, things got stressful, he wanted to drink, I didn't like it, he left), but yes, back in our marriage we would yell during arguments. Sometimes swear.
But swearing wasn't the issue in my marriage. drinking was.
On the other side of 50 now...all I can say is that I'm done with taking being mistreated.
It's abuse
I agree that therapy can help as well anger management.... You may have to decide are you willing to keep on living like this??
You can argue about the swearing or the keys, but you were scared.
THAT changes everything.
